Greek cliches

January 03, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

I have started 2016 in less than ideal circumstance- in hospital with a crook foot. I’m out now and on the couch, so I thought I’d take a look back at a trip I did through Europe in 2013.

This set of images is taken on a 3 week venture through the tourist hotspot that is the Greek Islands.

The Greek islands are as cliché as it gets- you have to dodge hoards of spatially unaware tourists, pay through the roof for a place to stay and sometimes listen to painful Euro beats.

However, on the flip side each island presents in a different manner- from the sun drenched cliffs of Santorini, the quant beaches of Mykonos or the visually pleasing town on Eos, the appeal cannot be denied.

After you’ve seen the touristic sights let yourself delve in to island life, before you know it you will be eating fresh caught octopus and drinking Ouzo with a Greek man you just know doesn't pay tax.
